Works by Women
Various Cultural, Agencies, and Businesses Sponsors
1987
8.5” x 11”
This first-ever conference was organized by Professors Pat Renick and Laura Chapman. From conception to completion it took a little over two years. It was held in Cincinnati, May 7-10, at the Cincinnati Convention Center. Over 1200 participants attended the international conference. The conference focused on the accomplishments of women sculptors and addressed related professional and aesthetic issues. A total of seventeen exhibits were held during the conference.
To reflect the different approaches and concerns of the exhibiting artists and speakers, a kinetic system was implemented. The configuration of the basic “W” mark was altered with each application, and no two marks were the same... The various marks were used on a wide range of collateral pieces such as mailers, application forms, signage, posters, pins, tote bags, etc.
