USA Annual Writers Conference
Poster Two
University of Cincinnati
1968
18” x 24”
An announcement for public lectures and readings conducted by a group of distinguished journalist and novelists. The overriding theme of how being American and working in the USA had influenced and impacted their writing was the basis for nearly all of their presentations.
Having two distinctive types of writers permitted a rare opportunity for designing two dissimilar posters for one event. Poster One, intended for ambitious journalists. Poster Two, intended for aspiring novelists.
A cheeky caricature of an astute writer pondering how he can come up with a gripping story and possibly craft “the great American novel” is the reasoning behind Poster Two.
