D. H. Baldwin Company, a renowned manufacturer of pianos, placed an emphasis on the innovations being made in its piano technology, electronic organ development and strategic marketing.

The three repetitive symbols depicted on the cover, spotlight these concerns and denote the content of the annual report.

A side note, that may be of interest to young designers, the symbols were hand drawn without the aid of a computer. Keeping the line weight consistent and flowing was a bit challenging.
