An announcement for an exhibition of large clay sculptures created by ceramic artist Andrea Joseph.

The poster is a visual pun, and a play on esoteric symbols familiar to the artist. Andrea Joseph’s sculptures, though smaller in scale than those found at prehistoric sites, were relatively large for ceramic works of art. Freestanding forms of unglazed clay, bearing an uncanny resemblance to stone monoliths erected at Stonehenge, were arranged in circular formations throughout the gallery.

Designed as a multi-purpose piece, some posters were trimmed, scored and folded for mailing. An 11" x 11” catalog cover and mailer were fashioned by cropping the poster to 22” x 11” and vertically scoring it and folding it in half.
